The LG VX8600 is the latest phone released from LG and this one is in direct competition with the Motorola KRZR. It has the touches of the LG Chocolate phone plus it combines the goodness of the RAZR and KRZR. The LG VX8600 comes with a 262k color TFT screen which is about 2.2inches in size, along with it the external screen is also big enough at 1.3 inches and a resolution of 160 x 128 pixels with 65k colors.
The stand out part for this phone is that you can view the Verizon V-Cast videos on it. You can get streamed video clips on the phone from various TV channels like ESPN Fox Sports; various news sources for example CNN, NBC and weather channels too. In addition to these streams, YouTube content can also be viewed as a part of the joint venture of YouTube and Verizon.
The LG handset also has a 1.3 megapixel camera which provides you with great shots, and also comes with the light correction feature. Videos can also be taken from the camera but it does not give you good quality as it can give you only 176 x 144 pixel resolution. The LG VX8600 measures about 3.9 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches and weighs close to 3.3 ounces.

The LG U830 is an addition to the ever so popular LG Chocolate line-up of handsets. The phone weighs about 93 grams and measures close to 98 x 49 x 14.8 mm. The LG U830 is a decent looking clamshell phone which works with UMTS as well as Tri band GSM networks. The phone comes with a 256k color TFT screen with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution display which measures about 2.2 inches. The external screen of the clamshell is also an impressive 256k color one with a high resolution.
The LG U830 mobile phone does not offer you a memory card slot, so you will have to fit all your data, music and so on within the available 180mb user memory which is provided. This LG phone houses a 2 mega pixel camera which can take videos and still photos at 1600 x 1200 pixels. The camera comes with flash for taking pictures in poor light.
The downside for this phone is the extremely poor battery life provided with the Li-Ion battery. The battery can do a maximum of 180 hours standby and just over 2 hours talk time.

In the spirit of the Holiday season, LG has introduced new cherry (red) and mint (green) versions of their popular LG Chocolate cell phone. These new versions are for the slider version of the phone, and we have not heard anything about the flip version that was announced a few weeks ago.
The red version is very sleek; while the mint version, in my opinion, is one of the worst cell phone color schemes I have ever seen. Regardless, the phone is now available in black, white, cherry, and mint.
