O2 has come out with yet another good PDA phone which boasts of a QWERTY keypad. The phone works with UMTS and Tri band GSM networks, and was announced last week. The O2 XDA Zinc weighs close to 180 grams which is pretty heavy for any phone and measures a good 109 x 58 x 22.6 mm.
The O2 XDA Zinc houses a good 2 mega pixel camera which can take photos at 1600 x 1200 pixels. The camera is capable of taking videos at VGA resolution and also has flash capabilities.
The standout feature in this phone has got to be Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. It also supports other data connectivity modes like GPRS, 3G and Bluetooth. The XDA runs on a 520 Mhz processor accompanied by 128mb ROM and 64mb RAM. The Zinc does not come with any internal memory for the user as such, but has a miniSD card slot for you to put your 1-2GB cards in it.
The battery life of the O2 XDA Zinc is close to 5 hours talk time and over 220 hours of standby. There is no word yet on the release date or pricing, lets just wait and watch.

The Palm Treo 750v is the latest in the Palm set of phones in competition with the BlackBerry and the new Motorola Q. The Palm Treo 750v is compatible to work with UMTS and Tri band GSM networks. The phone weighs about 154 grams and measures close to 111 x 58 x 22 mm. The Palm Treo 750v is powered by a 300 Mhz Samsung processor along with a stable enough Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC OS.
The phone comes with a good camera with a 1.3 megapixel CCD sensor. The Palm Treo 750v has a pre-installed version of the latest Windows Media Player 10. There are other applications like Pocket Office which supports almost every document/spreadsheet formats. You can store all your files in the miniSD card slot provided with the phone plus the 60mb of user memory available to you.
The battery of the Palm Treo 750v lasts for over 5 hours talk time and about 10-14 days of standby time. The phone has a essential PocketIE version of the HTML browser which can be used with EDGE, 3G or even your primitive GPRS network.
